Roofing

A roof ready for solar.

Your roof gets checked before any panel goes up. If it needs repairs or a replacement, the work is planned with your solar project so nothing has to come off later.

Your roof decides how well solar works.

Solar panels are built to last 25 years or more. Putting them on an aging or damaged roof creates real risks: water getting in around mounts, a replacement that means taking the whole array down and putting it back, and workmanship warranties that no longer apply.

Catching roof problems first is the simplest way to protect your investment. That's why every consultation includes an honest look at your roof.

What to expect

Honest answers about your roof.

  • A real inspection

Eric checks the age, condition and structure of your roof during your consultation, at no cost.

  • Repair when that is enough

Many roofs only need targeted repairs. You won’t be pushed into a replacement you don’t need.

  • Replace when it is not

If the roof is near the end of its life, it is replaced first, on the same schedule as your solar install.

One plan

Roofing and solar under one plan.

A roofing-only contractor looks at shingles. Because Eric also handles solar, heat pumps and incentives, he looks at what your whole home needs and plans the roof around it.

That means one schedule, one point of contact and no finger-pointing between companies if a question comes up later.

FAQ

Roofing and solar questions.

Straight answers. If yours isn’t here, call or text Eric.

Does my roof need to be replaced before solar?

Not always. Many roofs only need targeted repairs. Eric checks the roof during your consultation and tells you honestly whether it needs nothing, repairs or a replacement before panels go up.

Why fix the roof before installing solar?

Panels are built to last 25 years or more. If the roof under them fails first, the system has to come off and go back on, which costs time and money. Doing roof work first avoids that.

Does a new roof change my solar timeline?

Usually only slightly. Roof and solar work are planned together on one schedule, so the panels go on soon after the roof is finished.

Will installing solar damage my roof?

Mounts are attached into the rafters and flashed and sealed against water. A properly installed system protects the roof underneath it from sun and weather.
